The Itty Bitty NOVA VW Committee - JPolen01 - 12-12-2018 Dude what? You can't be all mad about the problems in one post and then in the next post say the little issues don't bother you. It's all tied together. Either your mad about all the issues that bring you to the dealership repeatedly or you're not. I don't get it. The Itty Bitty NOVA VW Committee - *insertusernamehere* - 12-12-2018 Hahahahahaha I freaking love this thread. This shit is gold. RE: The Itty Bitty NOVA VW Committee - Apoc - 12-12-2018 I think maybe he just wants to complain and have someone listen? The Itty Bitty NOVA VW Committee - Senor_Taylor - 12-12-2018 I don't know anymore Sent from my Pixel 3 XL using Tapatalk The Itty Bitty NOVA VW Committee - JustinG - 12-12-2018 I'm gonna be pissed if my 3yr old CPO BMW has the shit your going through, and I sure as hell would with the brand new Mazda. Stop feeling like you are being unreasonable, and make these people fix your shit and give you a fucking VW branded handy machine if that's what you want. You have an audience at VW Corp, air your grievances. This isn't those shit ass cars you've been buying for $300, it's your brand new $30k daily. You can't say this after being so wound up that you contacted VW customer care. You can't say it to the dealership service department, you can't say it to "KT" from Volkswagen, and you can't say it to anyone else that is now going to try and make you happier by fixing the things you complained about that they allegedly cannot reproduce. I would be heroically pissed off if all of this was happening in my brand-new car and not being taken care of. I get it, sometimes things are not quite right the first time, but this sort of runaround is unacceptable for any manufacturer/dealer. So, make them fix your entire list and get you in a loaner until it's all done. If you want some VW swag, mention that after you get them to agree to your initial complaint, which is that your $30k GTI is not being repaired to your satisfaction. If you wanted to pretend to not be bothered by flickering lights and a blown out door speaker, you could have kept that 325e, and we saw which of the two cars you sold while they were sitting in the same driveway. So go get your new hotness repaired. RE: The Itty Bitty NOVA VW Committee - Senor_Taylor - 12-17-2018 Update: I reached out to VW on Twitter last week and my case was picked up by their customer care team. They did some investigation and have found that yes, the first dealer DID find my speaker was broken and I'm not crazy for complaining about it the last 5 or so times I've taken the car in. The dome light issue is still on the docket, but that's the update they have for me. I'll be speaking with them again on Wednesday after they talk to the Service managers. My service advisor called me Friday but I was in a meeting and then never got around to calling him back, but he sounded pissed that I had filed a complaint. I'm pretty worried about my reputation at this dealer now. I wasn't aware that the customer care team would file it as a complaint against the dealer. I just wanted to complaint about how poor the build quality of the car itself is. While the local dealer hasn't given me the BEST service, it's not their fault the car is a hot pile of ass in the build quality department. Oh well, we'll see how that goes. I think this sums the whole experience up. RE: The Itty Bitty NOVA VW Committee - *insertusernamehere* - 12-17-2018 If you leave a bad survey you may as well find another VW dealer to switch to again LOL RE: The Itty Bitty NOVA VW Committee - .RJ - 12-17-2018 Dont leave a bad survey. You'll shoot yourself in the foot. RE: The Itty Bitty NOVA VW Committee - Sijray21 - 12-18-2018 i say leave the survey, switch dealers. that's ridiculous. they need to take care of you; that's their job. on another note, i went to fix our GSW's map light (oem LED) and found that the connections are pretty sensitive. i was expecting to change the bulb as it was dim/out, but i adjusted the connectors and the light works now. I'm guessing that it may have jostled loose, but the car's interior was also taken apart a while ago due to a warranty issue with the pano sunroof drain tubes leaking so i'm not sure if the techs put it together properly. i had to buy screws that were missing from the rear wiper motor where it mounts to the hatch. There's also a leak occurring that's routing the water inside the hatch itself. i think it's due to a drain tube being misaligned; i need to investigate that issue, but i think both of those problems could be related to the work done on the car for the drain tube work performed... RE: The Itty Bitty NOVA VW Committee - .RJ - 12-18-2018 you mean a tech rushed a warranty job and didnt do it properly? NO WAI. RE: The Itty Bitty NOVA VW Committee - Jake - 12-18-2018 Dealerships make a lot of money on their service department. Any of them can sell you a new, mostly-functional Mk7.5 GTI at some-money-below-MSRP. The differentiator is with the service experience. If one dealer cannot provide a satisfactory experience, fuck 'em and go elsewhere. I drive right past at least two Ford dealers every time I take the red truck in for something, and it's because Ted Britt's service department and staff are a wonderful group of people to work with. The others didn't listen to my complaints and/or didn't fix the issues. Not hard to just not send them business. RE: The Itty Bitty NOVA VW Committee - Deceus - 12-18-2018 God damn does this make me feel better about pulling the engine in the project car. I'd rather have personal problems from my own incompetence then deal with all this lol. I still remember when I told the Dodge dealer in Harrisonburg that the Challenger died on 33, making me have to pedal my fat ass 2 miles to call a tow truck. They just cleared the codes and handed it back to me. When I asked them to actually find the issue, they asked me what I expected. I expect a 5 year old car with 50k miles to not leave me stranded on a remote mountain. I expect a dealership to do more than just sell cars. I expect service from a service department. Fuck giving people like that $30k+ RE: The Itty Bitty NOVA VW Committee - ScottyB - 12-18-2018 (12-18-2018, 10:00 AM)Jake Wrote: Dealerships make a lot of money on their service department. this, big time. any dealership with a smart GM can turn over parking spots at a dealership. the money nowadays is in getting all those same people back in the service bays for scheduled service. you wanna hurt 'em? don't go back. go to a different dealer, explain your situation, and give them the chance to prove they earned your new business. The Itty Bitty NOVA VW Committee - Senor_Taylor - 12-18-2018 Y'all are crazy telling me to switch dealers. My complaint is the amount of time I sink into going to the dealer. Why would I piss off this dealer and switch to one 4 times as far away. Sent from my Pixel 3 XL using Tapatalk RE: The Itty Bitty NOVA VW Committee - Sijray21 - 12-18-2018 you're going to sink more of your time going to a bad dealer (multiple times for the same issue) than going to a good dealer who does it right the first time. i understand the inconvenience aspect of going to a different dealer, but i also wouldn't feel bad about going above the dealer's head to make sure that you (as a customer) are covered. The Dealer is going to want to make sure you're good so they don't catch flak from VWoA RE: The Itty Bitty NOVA VW Committee - Jewels - 12-18-2018 (12-18-2018, 12:02 PM)Senor_Taylor Wrote: Y'all are crazy telling me to switch dealers.
