Yeah, I mean I was signed into my regular "home" profile or whatever, but when I signed up it still prompted me for a new name and info, I really didn't see any way to just upgrade my existing profile. I even called the tech line and they pretty much said it couldn't be done, but I just don't believe thats the way they set up their system. Oh well.

I had that problem when I played Kaan's XB360 on a local acccount and wanted to get a XBL account, back then you could do it but it cost $10 worth of XBL credits.

Did anybody buy Battlefield 1943? I was looking into it a few weeks ago, and for 20 bucks it seemed worth it to me. Pure multiplayer WWII FPS. It's been pretty entertaining thus far.

The maps got old but other than that it hasn't really gotten worse for me. I dunno, maybe its because I just love WWII FPS :dunno:

Eh, the video game industry is old enough that almost every game is building off themes, stories, features, etc. that someone has done before. It's not like Tribes invented the whole idea of a jetpack anyway.
At any rate, the key is the execution. Bungie did a great job of balancing things in Halo 3 so I imagine the jetpack will be cool, but not a stupidly overpowered addition to the game.

i'm thinking about it. had decent fun with the BC1 demo, but didn't think it'd have much staying power... BC2 is getting great reviews... i'll have to try the demo.

I really like the ranked season idea. I think that will go over really well and make things interesting. One thing I think is missing from online first person shooters is a way to track your stats over time. This way you can say, "My k/d ratio was much better this month now that I've been sniping more."
I also like that they're coming up with a more sophisticated model for ranked matches. I thought ranked matches worked out pretty well in Halo 3 but hopefully the new system will be even better.

I think I'm gonna go ahead and get BC2 but I'm going to wait a few weeks until I've got some other major stuff on my plate finished. But by then the Reach beta will be out so I dunno.

Argh. I encountered yet another stupid ass glitch in MW2 tonight. In three separate matches all of the players (including myself) for moving around at about 5 times speed anytime you moved any direction but directly forward. It would also go into warp speed if you used the run button. It was so fast and ridiculous you could barely shoot at anybody. God this is the most buggy game I've ever owned by FAR.

i'll put it this way...
i rock the house in mw2.
i am maybe a bit above average in bc2.
i never played more than six hours in a sitting of mw2. i've done that three times in like five days now with bc2. i like a game in which i'm a far lesser player that much more? it's a safe buy.
