If you paid more than $25 per wheel you didn't get the best MM Kosei K1 Deal In History.

Still, I love K1's. Best wheel ever.

Re: 1990 Miata: One Wheel Of Fury - andrew_j - 03-10-2011

Yeah.... didn't get the BEST deal ever.... but.... a very good one. I love the wheels. I fit them up just to see and they are gonna fit pretty well.

Re: 1990 Miata: One Wheel Of Fury - andrew_j - 03-21-2011

I spent a tad bit of money that I hadnt intended on today. As I fall more and more in love with this car I realize my 'cheap' thing is going out the window. I am aiming to have a very nice, low miles, cruiser/autox slut once all is said and done. Enough words...

My dad and I also stripped and primered the trunk. I only have a picture during stripping though.

I also ordered the DDMWorks 3 gauge radio kit. That way I have a nice place for some gauges for when I b├╝st her and can have my radio. Tunes are essential!

Mine has the gauges on the bottom and the radio in the stock spot though, but that is the kit in a normal na6 dash.

Planning to go to PA with Jon this weekend pick up a fender and door, and may be going to WV to pick a soft top up as well.

Looking to paint her Subaru aspen white. Should really make the car pop. Next on the list is tires!

Re: 1990 Miata: One Wheel Of Fury - andrew_j - 03-22-2011

Also, if anyone has a Miata hardtop they would lend/rent me for a short period of time (just till the end of the semester) I really want to bring her up for the month of April, but I don't know if I am gonna be able to afford a new soft top before then. I have been talking to RP at Summit and they have a parts car with a top but they said it may not be available for sale so I am waiting to hear back. If anyone has a top they would lend or rent to me, you would be helping me greatly!

Damnit Andrew... I think I caught Miata fever from you lol. I've been looking at Craigslist for 2 days straight now.

MM already went through the Miata craze, im predicting C5 vettes will be the next "thing" after the whole bmw craze goes down in 1-2 years.

Re: 1990 Miata: One Wheel Of Fury - andrew_j - 03-23-2011

Well I guess at least I got mine post craze.... to be honest until Jake told me that there used to be a ton of Miata's I had no idea.

I like that guess on the c5 Vette.

Re: 1990 Miata: One Wheel Of Fury - andrew_j - 03-30-2011

Well I did quite a lot miata wise this past weekend. A fellow mm'er and I (thanks again Jon) drove to hershey and back and got a passenger fender and door. We then drove back to JMU proceeded to drink until the sun came up and slept for a few hours, then drove all the way back to my home town to get to work. First we installed the radio and got it all wired...

So then we got to taking her apart and getting ready for the door and fender transplant. Here was Jon hard at work on the door panel.

Found this... I was wondering why I had barely any sound on the passenger side, lol.

Fender test fitted

Door fitted

I forgot to take pictures of the whole thing with it all put together. It looks a lot better though. I need to heat up the bumper and try to reform it as it bows out from the damage to the old fender which is causing honda-esque panel gap which is no bueno. I did pick up some new speakers for it, Polk Audio db651s coaxial's. I scrapped my 6x9 idea that I had. I love these speakers, and I got baffles so they are not firing into open air in the door and will be nice and dry. Started shopping seriously for my top today as well. Thinking I will go with a Robbins and install it myself with the guidance of a friend that has done it before. Thanks for reading!

Re: 1990 Miata: One Wheel Of Fury - Btothefnrock - 04-05-2011

All you need now is a set of Koni's/ground controls, and some StarSpecs or RS3's... Win...

On a totally unrelated note, Underdog just got 252whp and 219wtq on his budget setup, on his stock 1.6 with a boost leak [Image: eek5.gif]

turbo miatas sound so dirty. i love nice and clean cars that come alive with well placed budget mods. might be one of the best examples right there.
