i think you should do it.

- HAULN-SS - 04-03-2009

Jeffrey is going to think that I am. I've got nothing by time to waste to make someone else waste time.

- HAULN-SS - 04-03-2009

Well, I'm on about email 10 with Jeffrey (or Jackson, is what i have been calling him). I told thim that I just realized, sure enough< I am going to be in OH a lot the next month or so., heh.

- BLINGMW - 04-06-2009

- HAULN-SS - 04-06-2009

Hrmm. It doesnt look too bad..but man, I am wary of non-stock paintjobs for some reason. Is that justified? I am going to be in roanoke Sunday..maybe I can stop and take a look at it.

- BLINGMW - 04-06-2009

yeah I'm guessing the tail's been replaced....

I dunno, if the rest is factory, maybe the guy has a story about it falling off a kickstand or something that checks out. If there is some other light damage then you should be able to tell if it went down at 40 MPH or 0 MPH, what else was replaced and why.

- HAULN-SS - 04-06-2009

Man, I never realized til I started looking, that you can modify a bike to look just as terrible as any ricer that gets modified and looks like ass.

- HAULN-SS - 04-27-2009

Ehhh...ehh??

I forgot to ask, as well..what doy ou guys think of Triumphs? I have seen a few of the 600TTs in person, and I pretty well like the way they look..but I just have never known anyone who had one.

- .RJ - 04-27-2009

Triumphs are ok, just make sure that you can get parts for them - may want to have a talk with the dealer in Winchester and ask what they think about their reliability.

Seems like you like GSXRs with almost every color possible on them

If it was me I'd get a F3 CBR since you seem to want a 600 at least and they can be had for pretty cheap.

- HAULN-SS - 04-27-2009

haha..well, the first one, I thinK I'd definitely powdercoat the wheels another color (white probably). It seems to be hard as shit to find those stock ones that were white/blue with white rims. =(

- stevegula - 04-27-2009

if someone here has carfax, I can give you the VIN to my track bike and see if it's possible to be titled again in the state of VA. Which I would then sell to you cheap and you can make it street worthy again.

- flintster55 - 04-27-2009

Sorry to thread jack, but I was hoping some of you guys (Jayray) could tell me what you think of this deal.

- .RJ - 04-28-2009

that vintage 600rr is not very well-liked, though. i can't remember the specifics, but i do know the seat was an absolute joke. just my .02.

- Kaan - 04-28-2009

That seat is the most uncomfortable motorcycle seat i've ever sat on!

By who? Seems like a good bike to me. The 05-06 bike got a few updates over the 03-04 RR.

- flintster55 - 04-28-2009

Cool I'm probably going to go look at it Saturday. Anything in particular I need to check for besides the obvious bodywork, etc? Is doing a compression test overkill?

- .RJ - 04-28-2009

Compression test is probably overkill, yes, and getting to the plugs will probably take some time and bodywork removal.

Look for signs of crashing not on the bodywork - brackets, clips, etc that can get damaged but not easily seen behind new plastic. Check the tires (negotiate $$ for a new set) and condition of chain and sprockets.
