The last two flights I've been on have had power adapters in coach. - Maengelito - 12-19-2007 the wharf is pretty cool, i'm not big on seafood though so i probably didnt appreciate it as much as i should've. if you wanna go to alcatraz, which i hear is awesome, make your reservations last week. i was told the same thing and i was like "yeah yeah, whatever" and when we got there, all the tours and stuff were booked for a solid week until after we left. infineon is just north of SF/south of sonoma, which is a pretty sweet track, but there isnt much if you're not actually driving on track. if you guys go to wine country, i hear sonoma is better than napa because its a bit more quiant. if you go to sonoma, go to the visitor's center first and get the touristy "i <3 sonoma" stickers which make you look like a tourist, but it gets you so much free shit at all the wineries. also in sonoma, eat at the restaurant "the girl and the fig". by far the best cheeseburger i've ever had in my life. as for san fran, get a trolly pass for the week. the hills are cool but you'll get pretty tired of walking them really quickly and the cable cars are super easy to hop on/off. they might be good for the BART as well (bay area railsomething transit). a few blocks from the stadium, there's a hot dog place called "whats up dog" as you can see in my facebook pic. good hot dogs and great garlic fries. i dont know joan well, but i'm sure she'll love the haight-ashbury section of san fran. tons of cool stores there, lots of indie type places and amoeba records which is HUUUUUGE there. where in san fran are you guys staying? - Andy - 12-19-2007 Maengelito Wrote:where in san fran are you guys staying? We're staying in Marina district but we're going to be checking out most of the neighborhoods. I would love to live in the haight, just so I could say I live in the Hate. Anyways, I assume you went to Chinatown. Find any good noodle joints? - Ginger - 12-19-2007 You liked Alcatraz, Maeng? I can't say I was really that enthralled... sure, you get to see the place, but I didn't felt like I gathered more there than I got from reading/history channel type stuff. - Andy - 12-19-2007 .RJ Wrote:Andy Wrote:Fuck you both You still looking a huntington beach? I'm doing some analysis work there right now. What an absolutely beautiful area. (At least from the overhead imagery anyways) - .RJ - 12-19-2007 Andy Wrote:You still looking a huntington beach? Thats the plan. - Andy - 12-19-2007 asteele2 Wrote:You liked Alcatraz, Maeng? I don't know if I want to burn a whole day going to some building. - HAULN-SS - 12-19-2007 Is it SF, or SD that is the ridiculously expensive place to buy real estate? As in, more expensive than WDC? - CaptainHenreh - 12-19-2007 .RJ Wrote:When are you thinking of moving? I cant wait to GTFO. RJ, you're full of shit. If you "couldn't wait to GTFO" you'd have gotten TFO already. Nothing keeping you here but us douchebags, and if you really were "California Dreamin'" that bad you'd not only be there already, but you'd be bitching about how bad it sucks. - Apoc - 12-19-2007 CaptainHenreh Wrote:.RJ Wrote:When are you thinking of moving? I'm trying to get into vacation mode. i thought you were moving to peru to teach baby seals how to save the environment from global warming? - .RJ - 12-19-2007 CaptainHenreh Wrote:If you "couldn't wait to GTFO" you'd have gotten TFO already :finger: I was pretty set on moving last year but I wanted to give this mess another shot - I moved into a nicer place, changed jobs (and more $$) and I figured it would make me want to stay close to friends/family but it hasnt quite worked out that way. I'm just ready for a change of scenery, and I'm hoping in the next few months I'll have the $$ ready to just pick up and go - because I'm not counting on anyone paying my way across the country. - Apoc - 12-19-2007 You hate your job and you spend your nights on the internet... that's going to be true in CA too... so it won't be any different.
- .RJ - 12-19-2007 At least the weather will be nice. I may be forced out of my job here sooner than later, so I'll have some decisions to make. - Apoc - 12-19-2007 The weather won't make you hate your life any less. - .RJ - 12-19-2007 But I'm sure I can hate you more! And no, I dont hate my life. - Apoc - 12-19-2007 I doubt that. It's impossible to hate awesome. - Andy - 12-19-2007 I was wondering when the Hate would make his appearance. Apparently South Americans aren't too keen on Asians working there and they can openly discriminate. :dunno: We had to attach pictures of ourselves and a medical history along with a yob applications. It's very heartwarming. Derecola - I'm actually flying Virgin this time and it says that they have a 110V outlet. Is it a stand car outlet or is it the regular airline EM/20mm port? *edit* Virgin has actual 110v outlets so I don't even need any adapter. Effing sweet. - Apoc - 12-19-2007 http://www.seatguru.com/airlines/Virgin ... s_A320.php You answered your own question but you can use the site to look up the features on any aircraft/airline in the future. I've flown like 10 times in the last 2 years and that site has helped me more than I can count. It's a nice bridge between frequent flyers and those of us who like to travel but don't know all the ins and outs. - Maengelito - 12-19-2007 Andy Wrote:asteele2 Wrote:You liked Alcatraz, Maeng?
