- stevegula - 10-29-2007 BLINGMW Wrote:In fact, with as much as I heard people complaining that the track was slick, I feel like the suspension/tire and cool temperature combo was giving me more grip than many out there. Most people misintepret stuff. I've ridden around the track behind a guy talking about having trouble going faster because he was pushing the front and sliding the rear around VIR North. I couldn't come up with a polite way of correcting him but the reality was he was running 1:50s and wasn't sliding anything. I've also listened to a person talk about getting chatter in turn 14 at VIR North because they were trailbraking so hard. Turns out they just decided ride 4 ft wide of the line where the ripples are. A lot of people will think their suspension compressing/rebounding is anything other than just that, because they never paid attention to anything at the street and now after a track day and watching three MotoGP races they're suddenly experts. We're all guilty of this on occasion, but some more than others. Especially the ones with egos. *shudder* - ScottyB - 10-29-2007 wow, some awesome pics there guys. glad your wrecks were nothing serious. i have to admit it looks pretty fun. - Sijray21 - 10-31-2007 just looking at this thread again makes me want to get back on-track - i'll tag along with you guys next year
