I am naive. Everyone in charge told me to prepare for an October departure, that it was a "sure thing".

So, of course the trip is now postponed at least until January, possibly further. It will still happen at some point (so I've been told), just not this year.

The upside is, we haven't sold the house or either of the cars, so we're not totally f-ed in that regard. The downside is that I'll have to keep working with our current customers, which is a bit of a drag.
