Oh come on. Crack one open! Be a man! - JohnC - 07-05-2007 Just for everyone's edification: Engine in the bike: Kickstarter has about 15 degrees of travel, then nothing. Crank doesn't move. On the plus side, the carbs that were on this one looked pretty decent. Spare #1: Busted intake flanges. Kickstarter doesn't move at all. On the plus side, I got what appears to be a good set of points in this one. On the down side, three of the screws on the valve cover are seized, and the impact screwdriver wasn't able to persuade them out. Spare #2: Same as the one in the bike, except the kickstarter doesn't fold out and is seized on the shaft. Took the valve cover off, cam chain looks fine (ie - not causing the seizure). Will probably take the head off of this one just out of curiosity. - Ginger - 07-05-2007 I passed on your email. My co-worker is going to send you a note if he's got a spare motor that you could use. Meanwhile he found this: http://washingtondc.craigslist.org/mld/ ... 26152.html - CaptainHenreh - 07-05-2007 asteele2 Wrote:I passed on your email. - Dave - 07-05-2007 god, it's like a bunch of 5 year olds fighting over a power ranger in here! :-) - JohnC - 07-05-2007 CaptainHenreh Wrote:asteele2 Wrote:JohnC Wrote:It appears that all three of the engines I have are seized. Oh I'm definitely going to. The hold up is that you can't take the valve cover off with the engine in the frame, and the engine thats currently in the frame is the one I most want to look at. Hence, out it comes! - PGK - 07-05-2007 asteele2 Wrote:He Lives in Palmyra...
