- ScottyB - 12-15-2005 if only Cooter's Place was still open in Sperryville. that would make a bangin road trip. - Jess - 12-15-2005 G.Irish Wrote:We could rent a car and drive the Nurburgring. Shit, we could rent a bike and ride the Nurburgring... The Prestons and Chapins will be driving the 'ring in April! Woohoo! Oh, and I'll make sure we flash the MMs at all the important sites around Europe. MM invasion of sorts.... - JohnC - 12-15-2005 Jess Wrote:The Prestons and Chapins will be driving the 'ring in April! Woohoo! Hopefully it will actually be open... I've been running laps on GT4 in preparation 8) - Jess - 12-15-2005 JohnC Wrote:Jess Wrote:The Prestons and Chapins will be driving the 'ring in April! Woohoo! Ssshh! Just think happy thoughts! - Feersty - 12-16-2005 Where do y'all plan on going besides Nurburgring? - Chris - 12-16-2005 Feersty Wrote:Where do y'all plan on going besides Nurburgring? another avator already?? - Jess - 12-16-2005 Feersty Wrote:Where do y'all plan on going besides Nurburgring? A few days in London, a few days in Paris, then renting a car (I think it's gonna be either a mercedes c200 or bmw 320) and driving to germany. FUN!
- G.Irish - 12-16-2005 Aw man you've gotta get the 320! And while you're England you've gotta visit one of the F1 team headquarters or Prodrive. - Feersty - 12-16-2005 Back to JDMLand talk. Should we make a list or do we know what year we are going, this or next? - G.Irish - 12-16-2005 Well the dates I posted were the ones we're considering. It looks like Mikey and I agree that the week with F1 at Suzuka and Super GT at Autopolis would be the one we wanna do for 2006. - Feersty - 12-16-2005 I am tentative... So we land in Tokyo...Where is Suzuka and Autopolis in proximity to Tokyo? - NaptownE36 - 12-18-2005 Evan Wrote:Im not real big on trips just to watch a race (although if I did it would probably be motoGP), Id rather do something like Jazzfest @ New Orleans Have you been to jazzfest before? Me and some buds went for a bachelor party. Great time and Burbon Street is almost as lively as at Mardi Gras. Definate vote for that if I'm in town at that point. John - G.Irish - 12-18-2005 Suzuka is in Nagoya which is about 2 hours from Tokyo I think. Autopolis is in Fukuoka which is on the Southern most of Japan's main islands (Kyushu). It looks like we can take the Shinkansen (BULLET TRAINARU!!!) all the way to Fukuoka though. - G.Irish - 12-18-2005 Should we break this into separate sticky threads for each trip? Right now its Japan F1/Super GT and Laguna Seca Moto GP. NASA Nationals (Mid Ohio) is a given, since I'm sure at least one out of the 3 of us who will be racing next season will be going. A few other possibilities could be 12 Hours of Sebring, 24 Hours of Daytona, Bike Week in Daytona (replete with Superbike racing), Supermoto A Go Go (which was in Reno last year but might be in Vegas for 06), Petit Le Mans (1000 km race at Road Atlanta), and the Canadian and US F1 rounds. Oh, and there's the Cape Bretton TT, which will be the sister even to the Isle of Man. Cape Bretton is in Nova Scotia and the event is in September. Of those I might be interested in Sebring, Bike Week, or Supermoto A Go Go (depending on where it is). I'd also be down for a World Challenge event, I'm not sure who they're running with as a support series next year though. - .RJ - 12-18-2005 G.Irish Wrote:NASA Nationals (Mid Ohio) Its on my schedule. I plan on rolling all those left coast stunnas! - Evan - 12-19-2005 NaptownE36 Wrote:Evan Wrote:Im not real big on trips just to watch a race (although if I did it would probably be motoGP), Id rather do something like Jazzfest @ New Orleans Ive never been, but friends who have been tell me its better than Mardi Gras. Not nearly as packed with people and a much better ratio. Oh yeah and the jazz is nice too
- Mike - 02-07-2006 just booked for japan... anyone else interested? g and i are likely buying our tickets for events soon. - Feersty - 02-07-2006 What's is your flight info? - Mike - 02-07-2006 are you booking? oct 4 = iad to ngo oct 17 = ngo to iad - Feersty - 02-07-2006 Mike Wrote:are you booking? Probably not, I just wanted to see how much the airfare cost and the days you were looking at going. I don't think I can swing it though. |
