i just did the lower ball joint my wife's xterra and short of going at the bolts with a 10lb. sledge, the only thing that let me get a couple bolts loose was hitting them with a torch. specifically a jet-boil camp stove that i held sideways. this was after a night of PB Blaster soaking.

Well I’ve got a couple bottles of MAP gas in the garage, time to fire them up!

Bolts? Fire and sledgehammer.

Bushings? I would rent a bushing replacement tool from Autozone if you don’t have a press. Fire may work to get the old one out, but pressing in a new one will be a royal PITA.

New bushings are in, sway bar is bolted up and she is ready to roll. The seized bolts came out thanks to some persuasion from a big ass hammer. I didn’t think my little arbor press was going to cut it for pressing the old ones out and the new ones in, but it worked. Had to crank on it pretty hard to get the old ones out. Lubed the inside of the fitting and the bottom of the bushing with some Lucas Red & Tacky bearing grease and the new bushings slid right into place. Tomorrow we take her out for a drive, give her a good cleaning, and take some pictures where it doesn’t look like crap.

Old bushings were trashed

C-clamps on the arbor press ended up doing the trick

Instead of all the fire and large hammers, try "aero kroil" 9 times of ten you wont need extra heat or a big ass hammer. spray on the night before to soak in, then once again before you try to loosen it.

I got impulsive, posted it, forced a bidding war, and sold it for $3000. On to something new. ~$2300 profit is a good day.

This is a satisfying thread.

You were supposed to keep it until it ruined your life financially and emotionally.

This is the one time MM did something right.
