Re: Post-Prius Depression (The Quest for a New Car) - ViPER1313 - 07-27-2017 G35? They are pretty stout and don't carry the Lexus tax. Re: Post-Prius Depression (The Quest for a New Car) - Ryan T - 07-28-2017 2005 IS300? Re: Post-Prius Depression (The Quest for a New Car) - CaptainHenreh - 07-28-2017 Looked at two cars yesterday: 03 TL TypeS 07 IS250 The TL was...well it's had a hard life. A hard life in pennsylvania. The rear wheel wells were starting to commit suicide by oxidation, and when I looked closely at the timing cover I saw that yellow paint: "02/03 TL TYPE S" ![]() The Lexus was much more promising. It needed tires badly, and an oil change. And I'm pretty sure they have a small dog who sometimes freaks out being in the car because there were little scratches on the door cards. But it ran smooth, shifted nice, low miles (~85k) was handsome and had air conditioned seats. It's a little more than I wanted to spend but I think I could swing it. Re: Post-Prius Depression (The Quest for a New Car) - WRXtranceformed - 07-28-2017 Only downside to any of those options is the worse fuel mileage and fact you most likely have to run premium in them. But a cooled booty makes up for it, I say you can't go wrong with the IS for longevity. My mom drives like a NoVA crazed woman and beats on her car and it's been dead nuts reliable for her Re: Post-Prius Depression (The Quest for a New Car) - Jake - 07-28-2017 That generation of IS is sharp and has a nice interior unless you're tall. I drove a buddy's 2008 IS-F and it was lacking in headroom for me. I suspect wifeypants is not 6'2" so she'd be comfortable. The 250 is allegedly slow but like you said in our GChat, it can't be slower than a Prius so... slight win? That would be awesome, if I didn't have to find a virgin to lead me into a dark forest to a grove of sacred elm trees before I could see one.
