You got me, it isn't - 1954 Corvette Nomad. I think 5 were made, 3 exist and then some replicas

My possible next vehicle purchase unless someone has a good damn reason why I shouldn't. Not this exact one but this would be kinda what I would shoot for.

Or maybe even something like this but probably not....but with different or no lights. You get the idea though. An offroadesq version

My ultimate dream would be an air suspension that would let me raise it and fit some all terrains in the colder months and lower it and run wide summers in the warmer months. But i don't think anything exists with that kind of travel.

Stupid?
Yes, but I don't care

If rooftop carriers are cool now, then my rear-facing toddler seat makes me James Dean

Any Subaru: for when your definition of "reliable" includes a new turbo and headgasket by 100k!

And a rebuilt motor by 150k. When I was shopping for STi's before I bought the evo it was crazy how many in the 80K+ range had rebuilt motors already. I realize people do stupid shit with them, but a rebuilt motor in an evo of similar age and mileage was pretty rare.

The non-turbo ones seem to hold up pretty well, but I don't trust turbo'd ej25's much past 100k.

Re: Wagon Wednesday: Official Thread - Sully - 01-30-2015

Yea i figured it would need a turbo around there. My plan would be to upgrade it anyway. Depending on when and how much I pay and if I actually plan to keep it for a long time, I would do forged internals and am upgraded turbo.

Most of the ones I look at are already over 100k and some already have replacement turbos. I consider a turbo a wearable part on most vehicles. I see audi as no more reliable.

Re: Wagon Wednesday: Official Thread - V1GiLaNtE - 01-30-2015

I must have found a unicorn then..

Re: Wagon Wednesday: Official Thread - RawrImAMonster - 01-30-2015

100-150k seems to be pretty standard for turbo replacement on a performance car.
