The lead level is crazy high, and while they bring up the point of bearings I didn't discover any metal bits or anything on my magnetic drain plug. I did have times at Summit Turn 5 in the past where the stock Honda Oil 'dummy' light would come on.

Haven't had that problem after switching to Rotella and overfilling by .5 qts... soooo uhh, #yolo?

ouch...you should like, stop doing that :lol: . those lights are usually triggered by a seriously low oil PSI threshold, like less than 10psi. if that light's coming on, you're basically sucking air already. overfilling is your only quick bandaid if you can't control pan slosh or have an accusump.

chromium levels are up there - usually indicates ring wear from what i understand. the viscosity is also pretty hammered for 200 miles of use. i wouldn't push it further on whatever oil you used, at least not in summer weather w/o an oil cooler. high temp/high shear ftw.

otherwise those numbers are pretty much fine.

I use Rotella t6 5w-40 now, back in day (when the light flashed) I was using Mobil 1 which burned like a biotch in the hatchcrap.

Overfilling with .5 quarts is the norm for most honda track cars, I haven't seen the oil levels move that much during a weekend. Oil cooler is in the works over the winter/next motor.

200 miles is an estimate of mileage....And i wouldn't be surprised about the rings being on there way out. Cry

"Navion", you don't drive this car on the street right? So the 200ish miles are all hard track miles? Some of this could be chalked up to the sample being pulled from the beginning of the drain or after you let some of it out. Also, how often do you change the oil in the hatchpile?

If your oil light was flickering, you had an issue, but glad to see it was fixed by a change of oil and overfilling a bit. If it was causing extra bearing wear, I bet the lead is remnants. Check at the next oil change.

Correct-o -- all track miles, and I think you may be right about taking the sample at the beginging of the drain. I found the instructions (that I didn't read) on my toolbox last night..:hammer:

I think the oil pressure light flash was pre-baffled pan days, but that has yet to happen with new oil + pan... and I'd like to think I'm going a bit faster than 2 years ago. :oops:

Well, they resent me a report because they had the analysis performed for a 1.7L GSR engine instead of the 1.8L... oh, and they spelled my name right.

Will probably do another analysis after VIR weekend and this time be patient and wait for mid-drain to collect the sample.

I'm not -- I emailed Blackstone back to specify that I only use 93 octane (which is at the track)... hopefully they didn't get it mixed up. No Oil pressure gauge yet, actually just lost out on a lowball war for a set of gauges...!

I think real gauges will be on the to-do list for winter... I just haven't decided what will happen with the motor yet.

The Prosport gauges are decent, however the OP sender has gone out on mine. Seems to be a common issue, but its only like $30 to replace.
