hmmmm, only reason I would consider rex's offer is for the HDMI output, since its such a pain only having the RGB output for the 1080 quality. I shall consider this if Dave doesn't hop on it.

so i'm home sick again today.
i'm slightly bored with forza and if i'm playing mw2, i want to play multiplayer (i'll do SP once i hit 70), BUT i have the urge to play something single player... do i go get assassin's creed? or do i be a good boy and get through mw2 single player?

Yeah you won't regret the new AC, it's very very fun. MW2 SP is pretty freaking amazing though, one of the best campaigns I've played in a longg longg time.

It's not until you get the new weapons, skills, assassination techniques and such that you notice the subtle but important changes...which are pretty much all after you meet Leonardo.

it's not a drastic change in game play, but the puzzles are a lot more fun and there is a lot more ground to cover (a lot more side-games/adventures too). plus i think the story-line is much better.
wait till you try to get the assassin's tomb seals and all the extra stuff

Not to throw out a spoiler, but I was a little disappointed in Altair's armor. It's pretty much the same and in some cases not as good as the Messialti (sp) armor. Kind of sucks for something that was considered a decently long quested item. It does look badass, I'll give it that...and Altair's Sword appears to be the best one in the game so far.
Anyone tried Dragon Age? I tried to find it to rent so me and my buddy could play online but I can't find it anywhere locally. I hear its a lot like Everquest, which scares me because I was addicted to that game for like 5 years hahah

Just beat AC2. Pretty interesting ending, kind of left it open for a third one. Without throwing too much of a spoiler out there, I'm getting REALLY tired of the theme that they used as the premise for the ending... it's popping up everywhere in media now and it's getting kind of old.

What Perk/Weapon loadouts are people using now in MW2? Here are the two main ones I use:
Medium and Small Maps
SCAR-H + holographic sight + heartbeat sensor
AA-12 + foregrip + red dot sight
Perk 1: Bling Pro
Perk 2: Cold-Blooded Pro
Perk 3: Ninja Pro
Equipment: Claymore
Grenades: Flash bang
Estate, Wasteland, Derail
Barret 50 cal + Thermal Sight
AA-12 + foregrip + red dot sight
Perk 1: Marathon
Perk 2: Cold-Blooded Pro
Perk 3: Ninja Pro
Equipment: Claymore
Grenades: Smoke
I like using Hardline but Cold-Blooded gives me that extra element of surprise (along with Ninja) and I end up being able to knife people A LOT now. I don't even have the tactical knife yet, once I get that I'm gonna be slicing and dicing.
As Lee was saying the SCAR-H is actually fairly accurate, as long as you use short bursts rather than holding down the trigger. The extra punch of the SCAR helps a lot when you're shooting at someone face to face. Might try the M16 next for medium sized maps. Any other assault rifles people like? Is anyone using submachine guns with success?
I really like the thermal sight and would use it on medium size maps with a lot of hiding places like Derail or Favela but any time I have to try to aim quickly there's that split second where my eyes are adjusting to the thermal image and that gives the other guy enough time to kill me (if he has seen me). Anyone have that too?
Right now I'm doing ok, I usually play Ground War. The only thing I don't like is Domination because I end up getting killed a lot trying to secure objectives. And for some reason few people have figured out that the best way to win is to just capture and hold two territories rather than running around the whole game capturing and losing territories randomly.

My setup is very similiar to yours, however im a very good grenade/AH4S guy. In fact I would be willing to bet 50% of my kills come from that, every round I ever win ive got the awards for grenades/rockets/explosions in addition to whatever else I earn.
The SCAR-H I love and use. I have the grenade launcher attachment that is absolutely brutal and really helps especially on domination maps. I have the Perk of more damage for explosions so if I use grenade/grenade launcher/a4hs, I clear anyone that is trying to capture a flag without even seeing them. Yeah its cheap, but it goddamn works.
I also use the MA2000 as my sniper rifle. I hated the barret and was so glad when I got access to the MA2000 with thermal.
