Solid packages/price.  Looks good with that interior.

This is different from what I'd expect though -

Quote:* Limited Warranty: 1 year/Unlimited miles beginning after new car warranty expires or from certified purchase date

Do CPO cars not have a 6/100 warranty anymore?  If not what's the point of paying the premium?

From what I've read, BMW CPO = 1yr/unlimited miles starting at end of factory 4yr/50k. Can extend up to 2yr/unlimited.

And TBH, I haven't seen much of a price difference between CPO and not.

If it were me, I'd lean on that warranty pretty hard or shop around for an extended. I've read about some timing chain & guide wear and design updates on the N20 motor.

15+ had a revision that apparently fixed the timing chain guide issues.

Why the F does every BMW / VAG product seem to have crappy timing chain guides? It’s not exactly bleeding edge tech.

Are you that sold on the BMW brand and wagon body? You can find really, really nice 2014 premium plus S4s in your price range. Audi seems to have a much more standard 6 yr 100k CPO warranty too

I mean I should probably at least drive one before I make my final decision.

RE: WTF should I buy (A consolidated list of bad decisions) - .RJ - 02-21-2018

you wont be disappoint.

wagons are fucking awesome. not everyone needs a brodozer truck to carry their golf clubs Big Grin

I just always wrote off Audi because I won't own one out of warranty but if they have 6-year100 K may as well right?

RE: WTF should I buy (A consolidated list of bad decisions) - .RJ - 02-21-2018

A CPO A4 avant is gonna be out of your price range, unfortunately. I think they stopped selling in 2012 and resumed last year.

RE: WTF should I buy (A consolidated list of bad decisions) - Apoc - 02-21-2018

Audi is gonna be a no-go, unless you want an Allroad... and the BMW is just better.

RE: WTF should I buy (A consolidated list of bad decisions) - JustinG - 02-21-2018

Yea, that appears to be the case.

Just did a wagon search to make sure I'm not missing something. When the fuck did a mini clubman fall into a wagon category?

RE: WTF should I buy (A consolidated list of bad decisions) - Apoc - 02-21-2018

When it had rear doors? So, like, always?

RE: WTF should I buy (A consolidated list of bad decisions) - .RJ - 02-21-2018

Dont waste your time, they're too small. And the interior is awful.

WTF should I buy (A consolidated list of bad decisions) - JustinG - 02-21-2018

Oh I'm not, was just saying, that shit ain't no wagon.

RE: WTF should I buy (A consolidated list of bad decisions) - Apoc - 02-21-2018

What makes a wagon? Are hatchbacks wagons? Are wagons hatchbacks? How does it all work??

RE: WTF should I buy (A consolidated list of bad decisions) - .RJ - 02-21-2018

The 3rd window/D-pillar. No has = no wagon.

RE: WTF should I buy (A consolidated list of bad decisions) - Apoc - 02-21-2018

Clubman qualifies

I usually love red leather, but for some reason that is not doing it for me. Might be the silver paint.

Kind of agree.  This is how you do the red leather
