Xbox sucks

Think of all the money you saved by not being able to change it at all!

I'm sad you'll no longer be PriuzzzBoi, though.

This is pretty much the opposite of Justin's ecosystem choices, but the XB1 update today allows you to control it with Alexa.

Now I can finally get rid of my Kinect.

Who likes what games here? Looking for people to maybe play a bit with in the future

Is this where I sell out that I'm starting to stream video games while I play them? I stopped streaming for awhile to get enjoyment out if being able to play at 144fps at 1440p for a lot of games but now I'm moving on to just playing to have fun with people and dominate on occasion.

If you are bored feel free to drop by and bust my ginger balls. I should be streaming Destiny 2 on PC around 8-8:30 tonight: https://twitch.tv/feels_ginger_man

If you have a PC even better so we can play together... Need some more friends to play with!

^Do you make money from this?

RE: Video Games Thread - Gamertags in 1st post - rherold9 - 10-22-2018

[emoji23][emoji23][emoji23] I have one or two occasional viewers. So not at all. Very far from it. Long term goal is small community of 20-50 people as a side hobby not to make money. Just want more people to game with! I'd rather not be a huge streamer like Ninja or whoever. It's just too much

Streaming is kind of fun, I would have like maybe 5-10 people following / watching when I was streaming Destiny. I've heard they have started to change the rules of the game for streamers making money, so a lot of them are trying to get set up on newer platforms like Patreon, etc.

Youtube too has been around but is smaller as well, but yeah there are more and more platforms growing. Twitch is just so common I have just streamed on there in the past. It's too inflated for me to worry about making any money at this point. More of a hobby and that I think it's pretty cool

Bought Red Dead Redemption 2 Friday.

I'm hooked. This game is gorgeous and there's a lot to this game. Map is huge.

150gb if you download it and the first 2-disc install I've seen for the ps4.

I never played the first one, but this one looks awesome. I might have to pick it up for the Xbone.

it feels slow with a lot of dialog and cinematic scenes the first hour or so, but picks up when you start to unlock more things.

It's been so long since i played the first one and i don't remember much; you don't need to know anything of the first one for the story of 2. The controls aren't intuitive and take a bit of time to get used to, but i'm getting the hang of it again and am really starting to like it now.

I always got the vibe it was a wild west version of GTA. Does that hold any truth?

Sorta. RDR2 (much like the first one) is obviously less dense than the urban atmosphere (along with activities), but it plays in a similar fashion. If you have any question on whether you think you'd like it i'd advise checking out some gameplay first.

RDR was set in a classic wild west setting. RDR2 feels more like a gold-mining/mountains/plains setting, not a desert setting like the first one felt like.

I'm in a very small majority, but I thought RDR1 was pretty boring. I quit playing after I got sick of walking/riding around interacting with random things. I get the draw is the open world but that's not something I enjoy, especially in what felt like an unnecessarily spread out landscape. YMMV.

See y'all Red Dead people in 7 months when PC version is released lol

This is a pretty fair criticism. You'd definitely have to "like" the idea of exploring the west.

The story however is very compelling, a very "anti western" that I really enjoyed. RDR1, I mean. I've caught destinyflu again, so I'll play RDR2 when it's $20. Not gonna miss anything doing that.

My thoughts. Dropping 60 bucks on a video game that I usually end up playing a handful of times doesn't sit easy with me anymore.

RE: Video Games Thread - Gamertags in 1st post - Goodspeed - 10-31-2018

My RDR2 copy just showed up that my brother got me for my birthday earlier this month, and it pushed me over the edge into upgrading to a Xbox One X that should be showing up later today (along with a 2TB external HD to help transport my data over from my OG Xbox One). Can't wait to start that game since I loved RDR1. My brother has been playing his copy of RDR2 and it honestly sounds like Westworld: The Video Game with how expansive the setting is, and how many player experiences are down to chance and dumb luck depending on how you orient your journey. I wouldn't be surprised if one finds that they could re-play the game time and again, continually finding new stuff.

Other than that, I've slowly been wrapping up Farcry 5 & playing a bunch of PUBG with my skwad. Kind of an infuriating game to play on console at times, but I don't think I'll ever get tired of it.

Nobody on FO:76 nuts? All my buddies are playing it, but if I get into it I'm going to have to buy a steam link setup or something to stream it to my TV/Couch setup. I just cant stand the thought of sitting in a computer chair at work all day then doing hte same when I get home
