- Apoc - 03-05-2007 .paul Wrote:want an ape ? Yeah... they only have a 50% failure rate... that'd pretty good for an Italian bike. - Kaan - 03-05-2007 I claim the hatch... i have a sickness with white honda piles! - .paul - 03-05-2007 hey mine was not a POS like Brian's - Apoc - 03-05-2007 .paul Wrote:hey mine was not a POS like Brian's 1/2 = 50% - .paul - 03-05-2007 1/4 = 25% I know 2 other Ape riders that have no issues. - .RJ - 03-05-2007 .paul Wrote:I know 2 other Ape riders that have no issues. Did you read about them on the interweb? It must be true! - .paul - 03-05-2007 Actually went riding with them. I do not read on the interweb anyways
- Mike - 03-05-2007 gtfo of my thread and stop posting ideas. i have my own ideas, and the bike is still pretty far (wallet-wise) from being worthy of sale. - Apoc - 03-05-2007 If your company would promote you then you'd have the cash. - Mike - 03-05-2007 :?: no shit? - Feersty - 03-05-2007 Glad it started Mikey! - .RJ - 03-05-2007 Feersty Wrote:Glad it started Mikey! SELL! then? bj and i spent some time at coleman today... probably 636, but the gixxer felt nice too... r6 just felt stupid. - damnit458 - 03-25-2007 Mike Wrote:not much interest in an sv... i'm thinking f3, f4i or r6. I was thinking an f4i for my next bike but to be honest I feel like I could keep mine for another year or two at least and still not really need to upgrade. While I want a bike that looks better, accelerates faster, and turns in better, I feel that at this point I really wouldn't ride much better w/that than with what I have (AKA lack of skill). I dunno, I'm sure this is kind of thread-jacking but I think you'd had your bike about the same time as mine so I was curious if you really felt you needed to upgrade? I realize all the stuff you've been through with the VFR but like I said, was just curious. Edit: BTW all these threads make me jealous of you guys and actually having money to fix that which has been fucked up  . My fzr still rides great but is scratched to hell from the two times I went down last year, but being the broke college student I am I can't do shit about it
- Mike - 03-25-2007 i love the vfr to death... i don't really look at it as an upgrade, but a change since the vfr is really heavy and parts are hard to come by... it's plenty quick... - Mike - 04-02-2007 new gauges come in today. my old ones could have been repaired, but it would have involved a lot of plastic weld and soldering. i don't know if you can even solder the little paper things that the wires run on so for $200 i might as well get a new (used) one. i'll swap my odometer over and all will be peachy. remaining: tires (if i keep it), windscreen, headlight (repair or replace), upper left/right cowls (super hard to find and 450/ea new), headlight surround, mirrors. i may just end up going with the race plastic front from air-tech. it's only $217 as opposed to the $400 i'll end up paying for the plastics i still need... - .RJ - 04-02-2007 Airtech stuff is junk, stay away... epoxy together what you can and call it a day. - Mike - 04-02-2007 nothing was able to be epoxied
