Exactly, what does that have to do with anything. Just cause you hold an officer position within MM doesn't mean you're expected to make every NASA event. I'm definitely not bashing those people who wish to drive instead of work, I just hope that some other workers pipe up so we can fill those slots.

I'm just questioning why the hell Rob felt the need to post the obvious...

You mean the the fact that he's Rob isn't reason enough.

It is not just the obvious Michael, I would assume an unwritten aspect of being an officer in our club is that you at least check in, and participate if possible, because for most the summer it is easier for folks to free up time in their schedule.

I would like to see all the officers engage in some way in the club events over the summer, because by running and then eventually winning the office they are obligating themselves in some way towards the club.

I know work and school are more important, but just effort to show you're still alive would be decent.

Best post ever Rob... Bravo! I agree whole-heartedly. Not only do people have more time in their schedules, but the summer is also when we attend the most events! Being away from school we need to do all we can to keep the club strong over the break. This year seems to have been the best yet (since so many of us are finally running in events).

Isn't Hunter in Malta for ISAT?

He got back from Malta a few weeks ago, but I think he is currently at a sleep away camp as a counselor, in rural Virginia. With obviously no internet access.

that's cool

if you knew that why did you ask where he was?

I didn't think that he would never be able to post over the summer, but I put 2 and 2 together and apparently that seems to be the case.

Great post Feersty. I agree completely with this, and I am upset I can't make the VIR event. I committed to a friend's wedding and can't back out. I appreciate your interest and attendance in all our events.

Hey I know how that goes, the only NASA event I've totally missed for the past three years was cause of a buddy's wedding. What sucked was that it was the Grand Am race, not a normal NASA weekend. <homer>D'oh</homer>

- Feersty - 07-23-2004

I have yet to be part of a wedding but I am sure it will come in no time.
