1) i'm almost positive there was an oil pan full of simple green at some point. maybe only 1 day?
2) it was a nice centerpiece
3) we were definitely assholes

Re: MMMM: Memorable Moments in Madison Motorsports - Mike - 08-06-2015

i 100% remember something about a large quantity of simple green. could have just been a story.

Tyler.M Wrote:My favorite memory is driving down with Jake to Richmond to buy my M3 before I knew how to drive stick. That was awesome! Jake was quite the enabler in my young MM days.

Hah, I had to convince you to buy the stupid thing and then you sold it because of a water pump Sad

It was one of the cleanest M3's I've seen... black on black, 100k miles and like what, $5k purchase price?

That drive home was fun though
If I had the budget I have now, I would still have that car. I miss that thing everytime I climb into my GTO. I still do craigslist searches to find another one. Can't ever find exactly one like that.

This. This thread is glorious. Gets me totally pumped for the coming year

Re: MMMM: Memorable Moments in Madison Motorsports - Senor_Taylor - 08-06-2015

Yeah. This year is going to be so kickass. It'll be like the old days, but better and with blackjack and hookers! I can finally do dumb car things because I have a shitty car and we have some new members ready to kick some ass too!

Correction, I did not leave it in a vat of simple green. It was clean when I parked it on the counter, it was a nice centerpiece for you assholes.

It was a story. It was a true story. 100% on the vat of simple green with something sitting in it.

The overspray was all me though. Painting fog light housings inside is not advised.

'05 alumn that hasn't been very active on the forums lately, but I do miss MM and these guys so i'll try to be more active. things kind of fell off the map for me when I got into competitive cycling and that took up (and usually still does take up) a considerable amount of my time.

ninjaedit: I was Scottyb's roommate (and groomsman!) throughout college. We were Ryan Wilson's roommate as well (not on the forums) and were RJ's roommates for about half a year through a sublet.

I also remember burning a B18 valve cover with left over 151... :dunno:

Favorite RJ roommate memory: RJ had two cars (a DA integra and the Lunchbox?) with no parking passes, so he typically parked them in the visitor spots in Sunchase near the tennis courts. It was Spring Break week (ie: no cars in the parking lot) and decided to park them overnight in the regular lot (literally 5 total cars in the lot on the far side of Sunchase. Woke up to BOTH of them getting towed.

He leaves out the part where he's gotten married, bought a house, and has a little MMer on the way too. Life's been good to JRay the last few years.

haha, thanks Julie

yes, a lot has changed since I was pretty active on the forums. it's hard to imagine that I graduated over 10 years ago (le sigh...)

i'll definitely try to make it out to more events and hopefully something turns up for the 15th anniversary from the thread I was reading.

Re: MMMM: Memorable Moments in Madison Motorsports - .RJ - 09-03-2015

Ok, but the simple green was not on the kitchen table!

Re: MMMM: Memorable Moments in Madison Motorsports - Senor_Taylor - 09-03-2015

Looking forward to meeting you, some time, man.

Hah, sounds similar to Joey's experience with his parents' F-250.
