Yeah, that's like the situation where you swerve out of your lane to avoid a dumbass that tries to change into your lane and you hit another car or a wall or something. It's your fault because you chose to avoid the first car which caused the collision with the other object.

That's actually a valid point I didn't even think about. Since it's your responsibility not to run into people in front of you then it falls on your collision coverage. I had this happen when someone caused that 5 car pileup where my M3 was under the Durango. Even though it was due to the fault of others I had to file on my insurance. If you substitute the runner in your accident with the person who caused mine that means you're fuct.
Your saving grace may be that you were not deemed at fault for hitting the person in front of you. The police report does say that, right?

well, i kinda expected it since the person who caused everything wasn't actually involved in any part of the collision. i suppose legally i was not at fault, but liability wise i was.
hrug:i've got most of the parts coming for what will end up being around $200 once i sell the extras. then i have to solder and epoxy some things back together and she'll be close to mint again.

thanks paul... i'm pretty much 100% now. my scrapes are reduced to small pink spots and my bruises are all gone, but i have a hematoma that just doesn't seem to want to go away right above my knee.
