Andy Wrote:What honda application and where are you getting them from?

I was wrong they were for hondas, they were for miatas, and on EBAY.

- D_Eclipse9916 - 01-26-2008

There is also an application for hondas technically. The heim joint kit that the guy is talking about is a universal one that is typically used by hondas and miatas. They are completely adjustable.

- Andy - 01-27-2008

The endlinks that I've seen spec miata guys use just look like one female and one male rod end. :dunno:

- Evan - 01-27-2008

I have a set that Ive never used for sale. The guy who setup my car put 'his' brand on so I have an extra set.

- D_Eclipse9916 - 01-27-2008

How much Evan, I call first dibs.

- Nis01 - 01-28-2008

Nice work on the swaybars Justin. I'd imagine you will notice a huge difference in turn in / control. If you are doing the brake work in Richmond give me a call, I can come give you a hand on some of it if I'm free.
Big Grin

- JustinG - 02-04-2008

brakes are on, i like alot......no pics i was in to big of a hurry. I will never install brakelines ever again, god damn worthless brass fittings just love to round off. VISE GRIPS FTW!!!!

- navin - 02-04-2008

Using the right kind of wrenches ftw!

<- learned his lesson one, forgot the name cuz he is little tipsy.

- JustinG - 02-04-2008

i used pipe wrenches......still tried to ring off, they tightened down fine, and they were soaked in PB for a good half an hour, but they still didn't wanna budge.

- CaptainHenreh - 02-04-2008

You really, *really* need a box wrench for brake lines.

I don't know why they make the stupid brake line fittings out of lead or silly putty or whatever, but they really suck. Box wrench is what you really, really need.

Pipe wrench? WTF.

- D_Eclipse9916 - 02-04-2008

lol I told you that you could borrow my line wrenches...

- JustinG - 02-04-2008

yea i used line wrenches, dunno why i said pipe wrenches.

- JustinG - 02-18-2008

ordered tires i hate spending money, but it had to be done.

- JustinG - 03-02-2008

Azenis RT-615s are now on, that is all.

- JustinG - 05-30-2008

well thought i would update this thread, had some problems with clutch pressure, replaced the Master and Slave cylinder. Nothing....Replaced the line, Nothing. Assumed it was a bent clutch fork, pulled the tranny. This is what I found...

3 parts go in, 8 parts come out.....

Clutchfork no looky good....

Throw out Bearing, once pulled off the shaft fell into these pieces, luckily the clip, was still holding the pieces to the clutchfork, so it wasnt all rattling around screwin up my clutch

Backing plate of the TOB
[Image: 100_1428.jpg]

Inner sleeve that connected to backing plate of TOB....

The $3 TOB clip held all the pieces together, and pretty much saved my clutch and pressure plate from complete annialation.

New Parts are installed, Fork, TOB, Pivot Ball, SS Clutch Line, and TOB clip, just have to put the car back togehter again.

- D_Eclipse9916 - 05-30-2008

Damn dude, thats pretty big destruction. I wonder how that happened. Do you launch the car at autocrosses? Ive done a bazillion launches and the only thing that ever happened was I blew up the rear diff on the highway like 30 minutes after an autocross as the 72k mile old fluid couldnt take all the heat...

Got the trans back in, and everything put back together. No spare nuts or bolts either.....I always end up with a couple spare nuts or bolts. Filled the tranny back up with some Synchromesh, and topped off the transfer case. Now the car runs like a champ, the shifting actually feels smoother than it did when I first bought the car. Feels good to be able to shift gears with one hand again.

Dsm the only car where you can have nuts and bolts left over and it still runs good. Confusedhock: lol Good job Justin. Now is the point to start to panic. If everything is working great it only means something is going to break nature of the dsm beast.

- kcook - 06-02-2008

glad you fixed the prob justin. i bet shifting the car now feels awesome

- JustinG - 06-20-2008

update, broke the speed sensor when removed the tranny to do above repairs, just got a new speed sensor from JNZtuning.com, put it in tonight.

YAY I CAN TELL HOW FAST IM GOING AGAIN!!!!!
