I believe he sold it or something. - CaptainHenreh - 02-25-2007 Feersty Wrote:CaptainHenreh Wrote:ViPER1313 Wrote:Which M3 was it? I thought maybe it was at first, since Purple M3's aren't all that common, this had stock M3 wheels on it, so...I don't think it was. - Hunter - 02-25-2007 I just got off the phone, boobies was telling me about that M3. I'm Glad all of our guys made it out of a messy day at VIR relatively unscathed. Even though it sounded cold and wet, I would have killed to be there. I think there's still two months until I can say it's track season up here. - Apoc - 02-25-2007 The roads were fine all the way up to Fairfax. I-95 was doing about 75mph without any real issues. The snow line (on the grass) was about Fredericksburg but it was raining by the time I got up this far north. They really were a ton better than expected. The event was a good time. Saturday was absolutely perfect weather wise and this morning wasn't too bad, just a little wet. It was definitely slippery out there this morning but the right tire and suspension choice and you were eating up the competition. It was good to be back on track... thanks to all the volunteers. I wonder if Matt or Gerald ever found a ride home. :? - Andy - 02-25-2007 I think Matt rode home with Rex and Julie. It was great to be at the track again. It felt great especially cause I got to see everyone again. The new suspension was dodgy as shit to say the least. First session out, the car oversteered at every turn and at any speed.I spun like a top in Hogpen and came away with a tiny little dent on the front driver fender from the tirewall. I soften up the rear and dropped the tire pressures and the car felt also like last year but definitely more precise. Hope to see everyone at the March event. - ViPER1313 - 02-25-2007 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()
- Mike - 02-25-2007 awesome weekend! i'll have a real writeup sometime this week as part of a little project i'm getting in to ![]() thanks to all workers! you guys kick ass! annnnd drive home was cake. - Maengelito - 02-25-2007 fantastic weekend for me and a good last event for the silver miata. the thing plowed terribly though, so hopefully i can work out some suspension adjustments before the next event to fix the massive understeer. the weather saturday was fantastic. sunday wasnt great, but it was still better than last feb. drive home wasnt bad at all. i'm exhausted! - Sijray21 - 02-25-2007 awesome weekend!! - i'll do a small write up later i actually like driving in the wet and i wanted to punt b00bies when he spun in front of me coming out of Oak Tree that M3 on its side sitting infront of station 12 was a little disturbing... hock:Maeng helped me learn VIR quickly - i want to go back....soon.... - ScottyB - 02-25-2007 sooooo jealous of you guys. glad you're all back OK, i saw the forecast and was thinking, ah crap....but hey at least it stayed rain and didn't turn to snow  let's get a "roll" call too....how many and what type of cars did you all roll in 3rd gear mad vTaK? - Mike - 02-25-2007 in group 4 for instructor's clinic and unfamiliar with the track? a couple miatas. in group 3 in the dry? miatas, some mustangs, some other random stuff. in group 3 in the wet? everything other than a crx and c6 z06. - .RJ - 02-25-2007 Kirk won the enduro today - overall win, not just for class! Must be my mad refueling skilllz
- Mike - 02-25-2007 that is awesome... oh yeah... 997 gt3? :blort: - Maengelito - 02-25-2007 did anyone else see sam hornish jr's gt3 there? it rolled me several times in group 4. i was thinking "i wonder if thats actually sam hornish jr" then when we got back to the hotel, the craftsman truck series was on speed and they were showing sam hornish jr on track, so i guess its not him. but damn, that porsche was fast as shit. as far as stuff i rolled today: in the dry: i dont think anything except another miata that looked similar to mine and a few cars that might've been broken down or limping in the wet: surprisingly a lot of cars but probably because those monster V8's were not even using the throttle anywhere except the straights - ViPER1313 - 02-26-2007 Had a great time this weekend. Sorry I dipped out without saying goodbye to some of you - DJ had me worried talking about it snowing in Harrisonburg. I'll post up some more pics and video when I get a chance. - Mike - 02-26-2007 Maengelito Wrote:did anyone else see sam hornish jr's gt3 there? it rolled me several times in group 4. i was thinking "i wonder if thats actually sam hornish jr" then when we got back to the hotel, the craftsman truck series was on speed and they were showing sam hornish jr on track, so i guess its not him. but damn, that porsche was fast as shit. mmmhmm. that car and a few others rolled me like i was standing still on friday. - Hunter - 02-26-2007 Well, I'm jealous. I still have two months until anything that resembles a track weekend up here. - VT Remmy - 02-26-2007 Thanks to all those who braved the cold and the rain to work for us this weekend! I had a blast in group 3, cant wait to get back out there again. - Jewels - 02-26-2007 Yeah, we had a great time this weekend. It was great to see everybody at the track again. We were also warned of the terrible weather north of Danville, but by the time we left at 6 o'clock we didn't hit snow on the grass until between C'ville and Ruckersville, and if it hadn't continued to rain the roads would have been dry. Anyway, we took Matt to pick up his truck at Lydic's house, cause we feel bad for cripples, and made it home around 11 including driver changes and dinner. And just wait, we'll be doing this again in a month, minus the Enduro. - PDenbigh - 02-26-2007 Maengelito Wrote:did anyone else see sam hornish jr's gt3 there? Was that the one that was in GTS5? If so, he was turning 2:02's... |
