I ran another race at Summit Point this past weekend. I managed to knock another two seconds off of my lap times (1:38's) and finished 8th (17 karts). I will need to drop another 3-4 seconds off of my time in order to podium. With the proper gearing and more seat time I will get there.

yea, impreza took the 100 mile trip back up to nova with its new brake caliper just great. Got to target and hit a stoplight and it was missfiring like crazy, no power. Took it home, tested 1 and 2 and were too sad to test the others

1: 45PSI
2: 90PSI

So now i need a new motor, and the cars stuck up in nova. And nowhere has 2.5 motors to do a MY98 ej25 swap since thats the most straightforward.

So I need a daily driver, driving the integra to work is really getting old. I've been back and forth about a lot of cars, thinking about a lot of things - A4, miata, accord, civic, 240sx, prelude etc. I want something thats going to be reasonably fun to drive, cheap to own, easy on gas, etc.

I thought about the Audi A4, but I think its going to be a bit more than I want to spend on the car, the insurance and the maintenance. I test drove a civic and an accord and I just hated it. Crappy seats, huge bus steering wheel, just sucks to drive. Most of the cars I'm having a hard time even finding anything worth calling about. Same with most of the cars, it seems like a really slow time on the used car market and I dont want to buy from a dealer. I also want something I wont have any problem selling in 8-10 months (i'm not in denial anymore about this) since I will probably want a truck next year.... and of course I still "need" a bike as well.

Aside from the lack of storage, I cant see any reason not to pick up a miata - fun to drive, flip top lid, easy on gas and cheap to own. Sure there's the 'stigma' but I dont care about that. I rarely haul a bunch of stuff around, and the trunk will easily fit my typical trip to wal mart - I had no problems with the 96 miata I had when I was in atlanta.

I looked at this car on saturday and I'm going back tonight to do a compression test on the motor and make an offer on it

I would need to take some foam out of the seat to make it sit about 2" lower but doesnt need anything else that i can tell.

A few weeks ago my mom picked up a cat from the pound. Since then the cat has slowly gotten used to our house, venturing forth downstairs more and more as she gets comfortable with our house.

This morning, while I was eating breakfast, I saw him come down. This in itself isnt really a surprise anymore, so I continued eating. About a minute later I hear this loud thump, and look over to see my car falling down in mid air. He then stood there dazed for a few minutes, staggering arround, finally gettings his senses back and walking upstairs. When I looked outside the window where I had heard the sound, I finally understood. My cat, upon seeing a bird on our deck, jumped head first into our living room window. Apparently he had never thought to test out those clear spaces in the wall that looked like they led outside . Upon seeing this I cracked up laughing.

Just something fun to, as I said, lighten the day.
