I just got a overdue notice from Fairfax County government on Car Tax and this has got to be the third or fourth time I've gotten a bill from them that doesn't seem right.

About 2 months ago I had to go down to the FFX County government center and straighten out my car tax because they will still charging me for the Integra that had gotten stolen. I had a problem with them before that but I can't quite remember what it was.

At any rate, 2 months ago I made sure I paid ALL of my outstanding car tax. But then today I got a letter saying my other Integra is overdue. WTF, why didn't that show up when I was paying for the other car? Now its got $75 of late fees tacked on too.

I suspect there is either an endemic problem with their taxation system or they're deliberately screwing people or some combination of both. Has anyone else had problems with their car tax?

I should have known...

My flight was leaving to DC at 6am the morning of xmas eve. After 2 hours of sleep.. I trudged my way to the bus stop at 3am. I was about a half mile from my apt by the time I got to the stop and the streets were deserted except for a group of thugs hanging out under the canopy. Of course, I'm not going to walk in there with my black peacoat and carry on luggage. (I was safe... I put my laptop in a backpack instead of a carrycase :roll: ) I was even safer because two cops had pulled over a guy for DUI right across the street. Lights were blaring as I stood a good 10 feet from the canopy avoiding eye contact. They were not trying to avoid me as much though...

Some started walking by me and shouldering me muttering things like "cracka", "whitey" etc. I could care less. What are they going to do... shoot me in front of two cops? I had half a mind to say "STFU BITCH... I grew up in africa. I'm more african american than you!" Somehow, I couldn't pony up the balls... go figure.

Then, out of the canopy came a whore. Great. "Hey sweetie, what's your name?"
"Jack"
"Hi Jack, I'm Page."
She continued by asking my sign, where i'm from.. bs bs bs. I tried to be as nondescript as possible and still be nice. Meanwhile, people were still walking behind me muttering things and bumping into me. Then, she said she needed to go and asked for a kiss while puckering up. I politely declined and said that I had a girlfriend and I wouldn't feel comfortable doing that. She objected, but great, she walked away.

Then a blacked out jeep rolled up to the bus stop and she walked out to a cracked window and yelled "5 more minutes!"

I should have known.

The cops were packing up. I'd been there for 15 minutes. Page came back asking more info and for more love. She kept trying to touch me and I kept politely declining. She asked for a kiss again and I again declined. Then came an outburst.
"FUCK YOUR GIRLFRIEND!"
I calmed the situation as best I could but I was already getting more looks. The cops were gone now and the jeep was sitting at the intersection behind me.
"Ok, that's my boyfriend, I've got to run" she said as she slunk by me rubbing my back, all in plain view of her "boyfriend." I slowly checked my pockets... nothing missing

Just then, a cab was coming down the way and I flagged it. It pulled in nose first to a small parking lot on the other side of the canopy. I walked past as they yelled louder and more aggressively. Just then... the jeep pulled up behind the cab to block it in! At this point, I was just throwing my shit in the back seat. I jumped in and yelled "GO!!"

The cabbie had no idea what was going on. I knew there was a back exit to the parking lot so I directed him out... loudly. Luckily, the jeep didn't give chase. Geezus. Welcome to Chicago. Bitch.

This is me...

Our company doesn't do jack squat during the holidays so I've been slowly going crazy looking for things to do. So are any of you working stiffs doing anything or just roaming the forums?

Apparently there's a flood (no pun intended) of flood damaged cars from LA. It's not illegal to sell them if the damage is reported but that is happening apparently. So far, insurance companies only have 200,000 cars listed in their databases. I wonder how many cars there were, total, in the affected states.

And boy does it sound mean. Crosspipe, crossmember, Header-back true dual system, dual ultra-flo dynomax mufflers...pics and video real soon..w00t.


Kinda quiet at idle/cruising, but, between 1 and 2000 RPMS its loud inside and outside the car...or really,any quick snap of the foot....just what i was hoping for...
