I dont have a whole lot of history on the bike, other than what the previous owner has done and what he told me. He had the air filters cleaned (pod K&N's) and the carb's synched before I bought it. I also believe the carbs are not standard FZ units, but the bigger FJ carbs. After I bought it, I changed the plugs, replaced the battery, cleaned/lubed/adjusted the chain, put in new clutch plates and clutch cable and a new rear tire. I also have a new front tire that goes with the bike, not installed along with a factory service manual. Bike also has a supertrap muffler and a 'smoked' windscreen. The bike runs good, starts up every time and hasnt caused me any trouble - I've taken several 3+ hour rides on it and had no problems, ride it to work and back whenever the weather is good - put 100 miles on it last saturday. Bike gets about 40mpg. The only issues i know of on the bike is the front cam cover is weeping a bit, as are the fork seals. Both are cheap replacements, I just never got around to doing them.

Lower fairings are currently off the bike. Left side is missing, right side is in 'ok' shape but kind of banged up. New aftermarket fairings are about $100 per side (airtech, maier, etc) and i believe tapeworks sells the decals if you wanted to replace them.

Selling to buy a newer/faster bike. This makes a great starter bike as its easy to ride and very forgiving and not too fast.

I would not recommend this card for graphic intensive gaming. I tried it with need for speed most wanted, it worked, but I noticed small differences. This card is designed as a workstation video card to be used with software such as CAD or DCC. (See the included PDF for more info)

So, another turbo car means another BOV. I sold my other cheap one. Anyone around here have any or know anyone who does? I need a good cheap one.

so it seems as though my STi's battery is on its last leg. it has a hard time cranking especially when its colder outside. subaru batteries are not known for their longevity and its coming up on 3 years old (most batteries i've dealt with have a life of 3 to 5 years). but with my 'bumpin' system (y0!), i expected it to crap out sooner than later.

so with that being said, i will probably buy one of those autozone/pepboys/advance/sears batteries with a 3 year warranty. this is your chance to talk me out of it for various reasons like cold cranking amps, lightweight, etc.

so lets hear what you have to say.

Updates will be ongoing, I just wanted to start this up

so i was looking at some vintage racecar pictures today, namely open-wheel. it struck my that every picture i was looking at, the car had some crazy positive camber on the front wheels. whats up with that? is it a function of the primitive suspension geometry, or a result of suspension tuning ignorance at that stage of the sport? someone help me understand.

basically, i'm under the impression its a bad thing and i can't understand why anyone thought it was a good idea to set a racecar up like that at the time.
