So.... I'm stuck in NOVA with an over heating engine. I take it to Merchant's and they do a pressure test and tell me that there is a leak in my radiator. I had been adding coolant to it for a while so I'm not that surprised yet, It was replaced along with a new water pump just a year and a half ago. might the radiator still be under warranty? Anyways, the guy tells me it will be like $660 to replace the radiator (340 radiator, 180labor, 109 for flush). Do I even need a flush? My coolant should be good for 100,000 miles.... btw this is my 1996 Buick Riviera S/C. I heard from another person that I should be able to just get the leak welded or even saudered and that should work just fine. I am not lookin to spend a crap loada money so any help with the questions or recommending a place to go would be much appreciated... Thanks.

This shit made my night. So I was hanging out in the parking lot at Kroger with a few of my friends waiting to meet a few others to go to the bar. So were just chillin and talking and this 20ish year old guy pulls into the lot in a primer grey eclipse with wheels and an exhaust and parks in the handicap spot, gets out and is obviously WASTED as shit. He walks into the store to buy I know not what. About five minutes later he comes back out and stumbles over to our cars and asks if we have a hammer. Jamie and I say no and then he goes, "I locked my keys in my car and I need something heavy to bust the window out." We sorta stand there in amazement and laugh, them Jamie tells him that he has got a tire iron he can use.

Jamie reaches into the back of his truck and gets the tire iron out and hands it to the guy. My buddy James follows him over to his car and on the way goes, "dude if your really gonna do this can I take a video?" He drunkly slurs "yeah if you hurry". But before James can even get his phone out of his pocket the guy raises the tire iron way above his head and just Plows it into the passenger side window with a crazy loud crash and the window goes all over his car and all over the parking lot. He unlocks his car and gets in the driver side, forgets he has to back out of the spot and went forward hitting the curb, then backs up and it takes him about 20 seconds to find first gear. Then he leaves, busted window and all.

I'd LOVE to see his face in the morning when he realizes what he did to his car. Absolutely classic, really wish we could have gotten a video.

I'm stuck in a rut with my current major of IR...its really "easy" and convenient for me, but I just can't seem to get myself truly interested in it so I figure its time to change before it bites me in the ass. I'm having a hell of a time figuring out what you can actually DO with it, and thats starting to bother me :?

I'm interested in switching to this field of study...it seems like theres a number of smart, environmentally minded people on here, so I thought maybe some of you studied it?

If so, how did you like the program? the professors? the workload? Any details you can give me would be appreciated.
