I'm sure a lot of y'all spend time looking at parts and such for sale. If anyone happens to spot a set of VFR hard saddlebags for sale (eBay and such) could ya keep me posted. It would be much appreciated.
(I'm trying to find a full set of respectable hardbags to throw on the SV)

I know lots of people always want to pull parts and we probably use all sorts of different salvage places. I was thinking we could get this stickied and have people add the contact info for local junkyards/salvage yards to call.

I keep telling myself to make up a batch of "I Farted" stickers in the same style as the little "I Voted" stickers... Switch them out at the polling station and laugh all day whenever I see one.
Oh well, maybe in '08.
Go vote today.

Hey guys,
Just thinkin about launching a big game at JMU in conjunction with Bridgewater but I'd like to gather thoughts and opinions from you guys first? http://www.hitmanoncampus.com/
i think i've heard things of this are already done on smaller scales with like socks or something? i just think water guns would be a lot more hilarious and allow for better action

Hey guys. I'm starting a job in Reston like january 8th or so. I need to find a freaking place to live. There are so many listings, I can't possibly see them all - so i was hoping if anyone runs across a place or anything, post it up here so I can check it out. I'm coming up this weekend to look at places with my prospective roommate. Heres a list of stuff I need in a place:
At LEAST a one car garage. Two is preferred.
Two+ bedroom
Allows Pets
Is closer to DC than manassas
Townhouse preferable
No ridiculous income checks/ridiculously high minimum income requirements
Less than 1800$ a month. 1600 is ideal, anything else will be pushing it.
Also - if you are a cool person, or know a cool person that would want to rent with us, obviously we can adjust the monthly amount to accomodate, and can afford more with 3 incomes. The only issue there is, I'm paying more than my other roommate(s) for exclusive use of the garage space(s). Thanks!

Going over the S50, and I want to get the injectors rebuilt/cleaned/whatever you want to call it. Is there a local place around NoVA (or generic place I could look for) that can do this? Or am I better off sending them out (if so, any recommendations)?

A friend of mine is considering setting up a game but he doesn't have enough people to secure the private field/pricing. Everyone is welcome to come and rentals will be available if you don't have your own gear. I think maybe 3 of us have our own stuff so you wouldn't be in the minority to rent. I'm out of shape so it's not like I'm going to run around and kill everyone anyway. Rental is probably ~$75 including paint. We get enough support and I'll post details when he makes the reservation, who's in?

So yeah, I got a speeding ticket on 81 yesterday. Which really sucks because EVERY day I just hit the cruise control at 73-75 and cruise all the way to work. Today, I just happened to have to speed up to pass a line of tractor trailers who were blocking me from the exit, and a state trooper nabbed me. Even gave me a window tint ticket in the Lexus too hahah
I used to run a radar detector in my old WRX 24/7 and loved it. It really makes you more aware of the surroundings, it helps you to feel less like a fish in a barrel when it comes to highway travel. My old detector broke, and figuring that the times / technology had changed since then, I did a little research and found this:
http://www.radarbusters.com/products/be ... driver.asp
Not only is the range on this way better than my old detector, but also it has a remote stealth sensor that you can use to get alerts and to turn on / off the unit. Most importantly, it is now and forever completely immune to all radar detector detectors due to the magnesium case it's housed in that blocks all of its signals. It's like 4xs as much as my old detector granted, but it's way more advanced as well.
I obviously know detectors are illegal in VA, and I've heard things ranging from 1500 dollar fines to like 150 and they take the detector. Anyone or any lawyer (Jess?) know for sure? I was pulled over once or twice with my old detector (that was immune to some RDDs too) and never got in trouble with it.
It's not even that I speed much at all beyond the speed of flowing traffic, but I hate that feeling of knowing that the one time I did I was nailed. The old detector saved me more times than I could count. What do you all think?
