How to get to my apartment: I live in Campus View Condos. Building 515. Apt 204.
From University boulevard make a right onto Resevoir Street (so Cosco will be on your right hand side) and on the left is that little strip mall of like Vintage Wine and shit. Then follow that road until you see a sign on your right hand that says Avalon Woods. After that make a left onto Stonewall Drive. Then make a right onto Davis Mills Drive. My building is the one on the left.

Prius - I was expecting to really enjoy this thing, and I did... somewhat. It is not the perfect hybrid...

Cons: The seats are awful, and the transition from battery to gas isn't nearly as seamless as I would hope for. Often you'll be crawling away from a stoplight at a constant throttle using on battery and then feel a little jerk as the gas engine kicks on and your constant throttle is now giving a lot more power than before. The brakes also feel very different than anything else I've ever felt... they're very grabby and strong feeling. Again, it felt like there was some sort of transition here as well... I'd be coming to a stop and then the car would do a tiny lunge. I dunno, weird. The nifty little graphs and such turn driving in to a game... this was a distraction. I didn't really care for the gas stuff, climate, and radio all being integrated in to a single screen.

Pros: I drove it 80 miles. I picked it up with a full tank and returned it with a full tank. I did not put a dime in it. The nifty little graphs and such turn driving in to a game...

Overall, it's slightly nicer than a corolla and gets awesome gas mileage.

Malibu - Being an American product, I really wanted to hate this... and... I didn't.

Cons: Suspension was a bit soft compared to the rigidity of the low profile tires. Handling was crisp, but the car seemed to float a little on the highway. Sitting at a stoplight, I noticed that the plastics around the shifter look like shit. I pull on a tiny seam and BOOM the entire fucking 2ft piece comes off. It snaps back on, but come on... I'm sure I'm not the only person to have done this. I ended up putting $15 in to it for 70 miles of mostly highway driving.

Pros: The little 2.4 was smooth, the car looks pretty decent, the stereo bumped, and I'm sure the MSRP was pretty low.

My friend is trying to get rid of her beater car, it was used while her real car was getting the transmission rebuilt.
It's sitting outside my house in Harrisonburg, runs ok, here are the problems I know it has.
Suspension is loose in the front, I think it needs balljoints? (haven't looked myself)
Has an Exhaust leak, its noticeable but not really loud.
Needs a blower motor switch?(Blower Motor won't come on, I've replaced the motor with a new one already) So for now no A/C or Heat.
Burns some oil, pretty sure its the Valve Seals.
Has 189k on it

Inspection good until 11/08 don't know if it'll pass or not.

The good:
Gets about 30MPG (but the gas gauge died 2 weeks ago)
It's CHEAP :lol:

Car is a 5spd, green in color with clear coat peeling, all power options most of them working. No body damage. Interior is in fair condition.

First person with a cash offer over 300 bucks can have it. Title should be clear it's in the mail.

It's almost done. I need to fix up the handlebars and put on some pedals... maybe a brake... probably a brake. I wanted to build a bike that I'd be ok locking up around the city and so here's the breakdown:
Frame: $70
Wheels/chain: $160

Total: $230

All of the other parts were from the parts bin at my local bike co-op. The 70 for the frame included a year membership at the coop and rights to dig through their parts bins. The only issues I had were:
1. the front fork was meant for a 9mm wheel spindle. I had to file it to open it up for a 10mm spindle. Elbow grease ftw.
2. the bottom bracket spindle taper was too wide to get a straight chain line with the crank I have. I broke out the file again. That was a huge bitch. HUGE.



End result: I built a bike. I didn't build the wheels (cost prohibited it), but I still learned a lot. Hopefully, it's a tank of a bike that I won't care about rain or potholes with. I'll get a front brake and some pedals on tomorrow, and take it for its first ride!

I have a full season of Skins tickets available. Same seats as mentioned in earlier ad. They will be going on CL about 2 weeks prior to each game. They all include parking. If there is a game you want, let me know. Obviously the Cowboys are not available (my son wants to go to that game), The Giants is also probably gone as of right now (I will update later). These belong to my father-in-law and he can't get to the games anymore.
