The Story
I bought this car in 2004 after my street GS-R got stolen and was in an insane hurry to go racing. After putting a lot of effort but not enough preparation into getting on track I kind of got burnt out. Then I started riding motorcycles and I've been putting off selling this thing since then.

I've finally come to terms with getting rid of this thing so my loss is your gain. I started to swap the engine to a B18B but I couldn't get one of the axle nuts off and didn't have a impact gun powerful to get it off. So it is not running.

The B18C in the car right now is low on compression so you'd need to either rebuild it or part it out. Or combine it with a B20 to make a franken-vtec if you are so motivated.

The car is parked at a storage facility right now but if anyone wanted to take a look I can come meet them there (I live in Falls Church).

Noob, Need help with new car/modding
Posted by: Ken - 03-27-2009, 12:59 AM - Forum: Technical Discussion - Replies (12)

Main reason i joined this club is that despite all my superficial knowledge of current cars (crank hp, 0-60 all that nonsense), i knew very little of the actual engine and other internals, not to mention little outside of 2000 vehicles on, but that's neither here nor there. Anyway I was wondering what you guys think would be a good idea to mod my new car (09' Lancer Ralliart). It has the 4b11T engine and i honestly don't know what other information would help. I joined a Ralliart forum and read through it extensively but they drop a lot of money i don't have and wanted to hear what you guys had to say anyway, but from what i've read the most common things are:

ECU Flash/Tune: I'm almost definitely doing this, i just wanna make sure i add whatever beforehand

"Boost Pill"?: A little confused on this myself, it works as a boost regulator since the TCSST can't use a conventional one. I have no idea whether it requires a tune or sees differences on a stock car

Catback Exhaust (turboback, downpipe, midpipe): Expensive

Air Intake: Seems like a quick cheap mod, saw it for 150

New Front Mount: Expensive as heck

I'm sure im forgetting something but thats all i can think of for now. Also would i see any performance gains with just adding a new muffler?

Thanks to anyone who responds, im in the learning process and i don't wanna be just another kid who pays people to throw on parts and not understanding what they do.

  Need some assistance...AGAIN!
Posted by: Ole - 03-26-2009, 03:07 PM - Forum: Lounge - Replies (11)

My lack of tech savvy is really showing now.....

Somehow one of my hard drives changed its name from F: to G:. I dont know if this occurred when I installed my Blackberry desktop manager or not, I just didn't pay too much attention. My question is: will this affect those programs that I ahve installed on the HD?

Thanks! Beers on me at the garage this weekend #3 Gasoline Alley.

  Current Students Leaving for VIR

So, if you're planning on riding/driving to VIR this weekend, lets meet in the Rockingham lot at 3:30pm, does that work for everyone?

Simply put, just show up, and we'll figure out who is driving and riding along, I think meeting in person is the easiest way to sort things out!

if anyone knows who stores their bright green kawasaki ninja under a cover in the r2 lot, your bike cover isn't on very good and was blowing in the wind like a parachute the other day. Just a heads up its not exactly covering the bike anymore.
