  music file question...
Posted by: Sijray21 - 07-09-2004, 07:20 PM - Forum: Lounge - No Replies

ok i have a question

recently i purchased a hi-md player and some of the software that came with it enables me to d/l from the internet, i got 5 free songs. So i decided to use this free coupon. The files however are only read by that software, is there anyway to change it? Something similar to an audio editing software or something? the fild is an odd one, my cd burner nero doesn't support it. They are "OpenMG audio file"s as opposed to mp3's or mpegs.

  Clutch Issues
Posted by: Sijray21 - 07-09-2004, 03:30 PM - Forum: Technical Discussion - Replies (4)

In the not to distant past i have felt more friction in the clutch as i depress it. It tends to squeak as i depress it. I'm pretty sure it's the fluid and needs to be changed, is this difficult to do? I think i'm goign to try and do this when i get home from work.

Evo 2 and steering wheel Bling. I picked up some Corbeau seat mounts for realy cheap - (floor mounts, no sliders) and took them to Piper Motorsport in Manassas to have the floor mount drilled for the side mount seat brackets. They had to cut and (tig) weld my side mount brackets to fit on the base - and it came out fantastic. I will probably go back there for any fab work I need.

GO!!

I've set a field on fire....

I also lit a trash fire in a Reston Association trash can that I didn't see was plastic. Then the plastic started drooling through the metal trash can holder. As it bubbled to the ground, a Reston Association truck pulled up. Me and my friend were on bikes and we started to ride away... we chose the wrong way though and headed towards a HUGE hill. The truck followed us and the guys were yelling at us as we trudged up the hill in our low gear. It was in like slow motion and when we go out on the open road, we got away... phew.

back in these days:

Me and my friends went into a parking garage that was under construction on our skateboards. We each took a fire extinguisher as we climed the building and when we got to the top, we set them on the back of our boards and used them as "rocket propultion." They sucked as rocket propultion, but sure left a nice white cloud behind us. We emptied all of our bottles on the way down and when we got out, there was a construction worker there who started chasing us in a bulldozer. We all got away clean. Smile

  Forum Outage *FIXED*
Posted by: JackoliciousLegs - 07-08-2004, 09:46 AM - Forum: Site Suggestions/Status - No Replies

The forum went out last night. It was an error in the phpbb code. It was leaving a MySQL table "in use"... because of the table's in use status, it would not allow editing (i.e. new posts). Hopefully I've corrected the problem for good.

SUMMARY: Sorry for the outage. Glad I was able to fix it.

  My NY trip
Posted by: Chris - 07-07-2004, 09:41 PM - Forum: Lounge - Replies (4)

Just got back from my trip to Long Island and then NYC. I thought I would share bits of the trip, mainly car related since it was so ridiculous. Sorry no pics- I'm not in the digital camera age yet.

We actually stayed with my dad's friend in the South Hamptons on Long Island. All I have to say is WOW. There are mansions and castles everywhere. Simply being a millionaire doesn't seem to cut it there. We rode around and looked at some of the homes, many on the ocean front and surrounded by perfectly shaped (and very tall) hedges in front. My friend's dad has a masonry business and works in many of these homes. Some of these people have so much money they ride down the street to a helicopter pad and take one into NYC everyday for work! In the 1st five minutes of driving around I saw 3 bentleys or Rolls Royces, and a group of ferrari's (probably in some club).

Day 2 resulted in many more exotics: several 360 spiders, about 5 Land Rover Defender 90's, many MB G Wagons, a G wagon with the convertible top (very rare from what I remember), and to top if off a bright yellow GT2! These were all just parked on the little main street of shops. It must be nice taking a $180,000 + car to do some window shopping.

Sunday afternoon (the 4th) we were driving through some neighborhoods and came upon a huge party. There were about a hundred people outside all dressed in white. I looked for P-diddy but who knows what was going on. What was cool about this was as we rounded a corner I started to see a few yellow cars. As we got closer there were 2 indentical 360 spiders, a black bentley, and a yellow murcelago- all parked on the side of the street.

NYC was fun. This was only my 2nd time there so we did all the tourist attractions. Ground Zero was shocking and really brought me back to that day.

I saw a group of about 6 Ferrari's just driving through times square at night and spent some time at the ESPN zone playing racing games and having some drinks.

On the way home there was a wreck on the highway, and one of the cars was an E30 BMW- the front all smashed in. All I could think of was Chan stopping and buying the car from the guy as a parts car. hahaha. Thats about it for now, more stories this weekend at the track.

You see, E30s can be cool!

This video goes out to Channing, Sean, and Nick, as well as the other E30 guys that I haven't gotten to know yet. Something for you to aspire toward 8)
I want to see one of these on your cars by the time our car show rolls around next year.
