I recently went on a little spending spree. I've got my freshend up D16A6 in the car... with ZC pistons and Apexi S-AFCII sitting on the floor in my room. I've been tempted to run the D16 high compression with an exospeed built head.

BUT

There is a couple guys at work... and one in the club... that think i should boost it. there are plenty of kits out there... there are "kits" with just the manifold and turbo and i finish the rest.

Now all the being said. I still want to track the car. I dont know if b00sting a car will really hinder it on track... or increase maintence that much since i alreayd stick stricktly to the 2.5k to 3k oil change. so what do you guys think... high compressioni or b00st?

with all that being said UPS confirmed delivery of a little bigger suprise :twisted: .... a B16A2 head with no cams, ITR everything else. now i'm looking for an JDM ITR tranny and an EG i think...

I spent this morning at Piper Motorsports getting a custom mount for my new Sparco Evo. The seat itself was bought off ebay a couple months ago for a killer deal.



The goal of the custom install was to get the seat as low as possible while still installing sliders, to allow for shorter people to drive the car (when Im in the mood to share )
Doing a direct floorpan bolt on would have saved me about an inch. (a huge difference) but the adjustability should be worth it.

Mitch cut out the humps in the floorpan that the stock seats bolt to and fabricated a mount by welding a set of sparco sliders.


its not 100% perfect, but overall Im happy with the install. I think it was the best possible solution for the requirements of a slider, and cramming my lanky ass in a miata.

Your thoughts and opinions. I love synchromesh, smooth shifts esp. cold mornings. I am about to put some in after I put the shafts back, noticed on the bottle that it says, "Great performance in low temps" does that mean, good in low temps or does it imply, "bad in high temps" i.e. racing.

What do you guys use? and why?

Ok so I've been reading both of the ongoing political threads (nothing better to do at work), and as many of you have seen from my posts I am undecided, in fact not even sure I will vote, but I'd like to hear some educated statements for your choice in candidate.

I don't wanna hear why you aren't voting for the other candidate, I don't wanna hear generalizations or opinions with no factual basis, I don't wanna hear "cause that other guy's a poopyhead" (that may have worked in elementary school student council elections, but not here), I don't want to hear you cut other people's statements to ribbons (without specific facts to rebute their statement). What I do want to hear is your opinions that have been formed on actual facts (and I don't wanna hear this liberal media or republican media bullshit excuses).

If you're voting one particular way just because you don't like the other candidate and you're choosing the lesser of two evils see above where I don't wanna hear why you aren't voting for the other candidate.

Let's hear some well thought out statements here children, and not attacks on eachother. Everyone is entitled to their opinions and we should respect eachother's opinions (even if we don't agree with them).
