With the season coming up fairly soon, I know one of you fools out there is going to get it in their head that they are quick enough to take me.
Better practice:

Ok peeps. I just bought my 3 day General admission pass for Moto GP at Laguna Seca, July 8-10. AMA Superbike is also going to be racing that weekend for teh badass double-header.
Anyone else interested in going? We could split the room up like me, Mikey, and RJ did at JGTC. Its look like it'll cost about $150-ish for all three nights. I'll probably rent a car, unless I can somehow rent a bike...
Asteele2 is going to ride out to this event, so if anyone wants to hop on the bitch seat...

My grandfater decided to give my parents his 1990 Buick Riviera, which my dad and I drove back to VA from chicago last week. Anyway, both my dad and I are curious as to what we could get for the car. As said, its a 1990
Buick Riviera with only 18k miles on it. Its in great condition, fluids all seemed to be changed on time, no accidents, runs great. Bluebook value is only 1700. We both think it will run for many years to come.
Reason I ask is that I believe my dad is going to sell it, since we already have two cars, and since he refuses to give it to me. So, how much do you guys think we could get for it?

Well I finally finished my trailer and hitch project for winter break. The trailer arrived first and was simply a matter of assembling. I originally ordered a hitch from Draw Tite for a 2dr civic because there wasn't one for the del sol. This was a stronger model than the one I currently have because it attached to the outer frame rails. There were bolts that dropped down through the existing holes in the frame rails, but they were too long. I spent several hours attempting to install this one but eventually took it to a trailer place in town. He confirmed it was the wrong hitch and ordered the Rigid hitch I have now. This one attaches to the tow hook on the back of the car and then you must cut away part of teh lower bumper and drill through the rear bumper and hang it from there. Its rated at 100lbs on the tongue (weight directly down on the hitch- which is plenty for my purpose). The drilling was extremely hard and tons of crap kept falling on me. I wore eye protection but somehow still got a piece of dirt in my eye and woke up at 5am the next morning in extreme pain. It took 30 min to flush out, but I'm ok now... Today I did all the wiring for the brake, turn signals, and running lights. I thought this was going to be really confusing, but the wires simply spliced into the tail lights in the trunk and I can close the trunk lid down on the wires which connect to the trailer adapter.
Here are some pics, it will allow me to transport my wheels, tools, and MM gear like the bbq bin and tent! Sorry for the huge size... don't know how to resize.

The hitch- notice the cut away bumper.

Check out the license plate!

My dad and I cut this pressure treated ply wood to fit and added several tie down hooks for the wheels and gear.

Some of the gear I'll have on the trailer. The wheels will be strapped down and I found an old bike lock that will actually fit through teh wheels so they are locked.

My dad's Christmas gift! We now have air tools (impact, air hammer, ratchet, and deep metric sockets) It also is great for tire inflating.

I don't really post on this messageboard any more, but I thought here would be the best place to reach the majority of you down in H-burg. I'm heading down that way on Jan. 5th (wednesday) to pick up some drafting sketches and to tool out my friend for not having taken over my lease yet. Was curious if anyone wanted to meet up for lunch and a beer or so? Will give me the chance to show off the elusive WRX instead of the OMFG SPINN@R$$ 8)
Let me know if you want to chill with me here, or you can call my cell at 1 (540) 421-5480. Happy belated new year, here's to a healthy and happy 2005 !
P.S. yay Jason on getting your Si back -_-

I was pulled over on 81-S at 9:35 tonight near Woodstock by Officer Miller. Not for speeding, not for reckless behavior but for illegal exhaust. Officer Miller was sitting on the rightside grass while I was driving by on the left lane going 78mph, and that craphead wants to tell me my exhaust was too loud. So, I'm going to ask my friend who's a sound technician for Southard Audio to take decibel readings from a stock prelude, and my prelude, and bring it to court, and rape officer miller w/ it. And I don't mean figuratively, I'm actually going to stick the paperwork up his ass. Sounds like a plan to me. I've gotten 5 non-speeding tickets in the last 2.5 weeks. All for some dumb stuff. Travis in his loud ass Eclipse sped by me in front of a cop, and I got pulled over.

Chad says that the SVT Focus blows ass, I want a few reasons, because I definitely enjoyed driving it. Most of us don't like domestiks anyway so that is why I was wondering.

I just thought I'd throw this out there for you NOVA folk. I have a friend that is a dj, spins mostly progressive, house, and a little bit of trance. Anyway, my friend is spinning at a restaurant/bar in NW DC, called Penang. No cover, no dresscode or anything, fun place to go. He spins from 10-3 saturday nights, and if all goes well tonight he will get a residency there, hopefully leading to bigger and better things. Anyway if any of you are intersted in that kind of music, or are just lookin for something to do on a sat night, stop by and see him, the more the merrier.
I realize this is a little late for tonight, but ill be there till arround 1. Anyways I hope to see some of you guys there in the future, thanks!
