Id have to agree on this one. I think its very well laid out, its simple. Look at the stupid BMW ones that people flip out about, wayyy too many buttons, then they got IDrive to get rid of those buttons, and we all know what happened then.

uhh we're talking about the camaro?

and yes, labeling something as retro is not an excuse for it to suck. so in that sense, it's lost on me.

Yep, the ridgeline is ugly. But I sure didnt buy it for its looks, I'm not that stupid.

Most useful damn vehicle I've ever owned though.

The MV [Brutale 1078RR] is aggressive and attack, attack, attack - if you just stepped off a bare-back ride on a ton of bison with a Tazer attached to its testicles, you'd still find it a handful.

While not highly visable, I really like their look - its very old-school muscle car. Remind's me of a 55' Bel-Air I took a ride in once. And they are an option, and there are redundant idiot lights on the dash.

.RJ wrote:Stupid ass speedo/tach buried in the dash.

Where else should gauges go? Center console?

Stop reading so many photography articles - its a vehicle interior that has to function on a daily basis, not a piece of artwork.

Its a flagship car for Chevy. It should look good, inside and out.

I think the exterior looks great and love the LSx motors. The interior is a big let down and I could never buy one because of it. It looks worse in person :vomit:

Ahhh sweet, sweet irony.

As we've discussed before, 99.9% of Camaro owners likely don't give two shits about interior "look" (hell, I'd often extend that to sports cars in general). It mimics classic design, which is why they're hugely popular among middle aged guys that are buying them. Hell, have you seen an earlier F-body? They never had gorgeous interiors and sold like mad. Chevy made great strides in the new interior which I think looks awesome, but they of course spent more on the powertrain/exterior/chassis in true muscle car fashion, and rightly so.

Aesthetic opinion is subjective, but largely baseless since its not the point in the first place. Steering wheel? Check. Gauges? Check. Shifter? Check. Who cares?

Yeah, I'm not a fan either...There is good and bad but mostly I just can't get over the square pods for the tach / speedo.

700+ hp with a blower swap and exhaust. That's it.

VW's have some of the best looking, least functional interiors I have ever seen. After 1 year w/ the Rabbit and 2 with the Pontiac, I would take the Pontiac's cheap looking but functional interior over the VW's any day of the week.

Rabbit:
Speedo: It's was not 'buried' and the blue/red looked nice, but it was 7-8mph fast at 75mph on the Rabbit.
Gauges: Bright orange warning lights that you cant turn off when you are low on windshield washer fluid are the shit.
Dashboard: Real nice low gloss plastic and small panel gaps that rubbed everywhere I went and rattled if I ran over a pebble on the road.
Center armrest: None. I guess they thought it looked better without one.
Sunglasses holder: Dampened release, but no padding on the inside, making it useless.
Windows: Power up and down with exterior aerodynamics that blew any body condensation / rain water directly into your face if they were down. Very annoying in light rain and winter.
Stereo: 8 speakers, MP3 hookup and bass that rattled the door panels, rear plastics, center pillar plastics and the dashboard at anything over 1/2 volume.

It sure looked nice though.....

The Japs definitely do the most well-laid out interiors. They may not be the most luxurious, but they tend to make sense!
